Some good morning, buddy — this is Halifax, and we have stories.
### Get Ready Halifax, You're in for a Rough One
You know, people from away think the East Coast is cute and slow. But when the weather decides to show its teeth, buddy, we know how to move fast. Right now, the weather services are telling us to batten down the hatches because an unknown weather event is heading our way. My phone's buzzing with those emergency alerts, same as yours, I reckon.
We don't have all the details yet, but when they send out those statements, it means something serious is brewing out in the Atlantic. Could be a nor'easter, could be something else entirely, but the message is clear: things are gonna get dicey. Keep an eye on the news, especially if you're planning on being out by the harbour or up on the Citadel. They don't issue these things for a light drizzle, my son.
What this means for us is simple: fill up the car, charge your devices, and make sure you've got some extra T-shirt donairs in the fridge if you can. We've seen what a big storm can do to this city, from the North End to Spring Garden Road. We'll be watching the updates closely from City Hall and beyond.
Stay safe out there, Halifax.
Tommy MacLellan, MiTL Sports Desk, Halifax.
My son, Keith and the crew will be all over this on the morning show — catch it live at mornings.live.
