Your sky is about to get real interesting, Lethbridge.
Good morning from the coulees — the wind's up, the sky's wide, and Lethbridge has something to say.
Look, Environment Canada just dropped a warning on us this morning, saying there's a significant weather event brewing. They're not being specific yet, which, if you live here, means you probably just want to keep an eye on that chinook arch — or lack thereof. The wind's already got that heavy, pregnant feel to it, like it's holding something back. Folks on the west side, especially up by the university, might already be feeling it whip around a bit more.
When those warnings come in vague like this, it usually means something big is on the way for the Oldman River basin, something that could affect everyone from the folks down in Indian Battle Park to the downtown core by Park Place Mall. Always best to be ready for whatever our big sky decides to throw at us. Keep those winter tires on a while longer, just in case.
