Philly, your trash problem is outta control
Listen, youse know I keep it real about what's going down at City Hall, or nah? And I'm not even gonna hold you, the latest 311 data? It's straight up tellin' us what we already see on the streets.
**Trash Talkin' on the Block**
The biggest jawn jumpin' out from the service requests is "Rubbish/Recyclable Material Collection." It showed up three times in the top issues, which means y'all are callin' about trash piling up all over the city. This ain't some one-off thing, this is a consistent problem that folks in every neighborhood, from Fishtown to Southwest, are dealin' with. It's not just a mess, it’s a quality of life issue, and it makes our blocks look mad grimy, you know? We deserve clean streets, plain and simple.
What's this mean? We need to see City Hall step up and actually address the staffing and resources for Sanitation. This ain't rocket science, it's just about getting the wooder ice containers and pizza boxes off our corners. Keep an eye out for how this gets discussed in the next budget talks, 'cause this ain't goin' away.
That's the jawn, Philly — we don't do fake out here.
