Two Hazmat calls yesterday in Vialoux and Glenwood. What happened?

Your morning update: Hazmat crews hit Vialoux and Glenwood

Winterpeg. We built a city in the coldest place anyone has any business building a city — and it is genuinely wonderful. Good morning.

We're starting off this morning with a couple of serious calls for our Fire Paramedic Service, hey. Real-time intelligence monitors, captured at 7:02 PM on March 22nd, 2026, show two Hazmat responses by Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service crews.

### Crews on Scene for Hazmat Incidents

The first incident, logged as 2026042499, brought units D4, E18, E19, E20, L11, and R11 to the Vialoux neighbourhood in the Charleswood - Tuxedo - Westwood ward. This call came in at 1:10 PM yesterday afternoon, hey.

Then, just a little earlier at 12:45 PM, unit E3 responded to another Hazmat situation, incident 2026042489, this time in Glenwood, over in the St. Vital ward. These situations always demand a lot of resources and a careful approach from our first responders.

These kinds of calls are serious business and underscore the constant work our WFPS does to keep us safe across the city. We'll be keeping an eye on any follow-up reports from the city on what these incidents involved.
