Your Ticats just lost to the Argos at Tim Hortons Field.

Your Ticats are already struggling, eh?

Good morning from the Hammer — steel town, art town, your town. Don't look away.

So, the Ticats lost their first exhibition game to the Argos, 20-10. Listen, I'm from the Mountain, right? I've seen enough early-season Ticats games to know this feeling. It's that familiar knot in your stomach that tightens up around Labour Day. Sam Hicks scored two touchdowns for Toronto, and our boys just couldn't get it together at Tim Hortons Field. It’s a preseason game, sure, but you never want to drop one to Toronto, especially not at home.

### It's Always About the Argos

This isn’t just about a score, right? This is about our identity. Hamilton versus Toronto, it’s a tale as old as the steel mills along Burlington Street. We're the working-class city, the tough guys, and they're… well, they're Toronto. Losing to them, even in an exhibition, it just feels a little bit more like a punch to the gut. The tailgate at Tim Hortons Field was still buzzing, though. That's the one thing you can always count on – our fans bring the energy, no matter what.

What This Means for Hamilton:

* **Early Jitters:** The team needs to shake off the rust, fast. We want to see that intensity, that *borba*, that fight they're known for.

* **Fan Resilience:** You'll still see those Black and Gold flags flying high on the Mountain and down in the lower city. We’re loyal, right?

* **Rivalry Rekindled:** It’s only May, but the Argos rivalry is already simmering. It’s never really off, is it?

We've seen the Ticats come back from worse. This is just a bump in the road, but it's a reminder that even in preseason, every game, especially against Toronto, carries weight. We live and breathe this team, from Gage Park to Webster's Falls, and we expect more.

Good morning from the Hammer — steel town, art town, your town. Don't look away.

My brother Vlado and the crew on the morning show are always talking Ticats. Catch 'em live at mornings.live.
