Massive March storm drops feet of snow, spawns tornadoes — 294,000 without power

Well, folks, it seems our neighbours to the south are really getting hammered by what can only be described as a monster storm complex. Here in Alberta, we've certainly felt the colder, snowier edge of this system, but it pales in comparison to the chaos unfolding from the Upper Midwest all the way to the Carolinas.

The reports coming in are staggering: blizzard conditions paralyzing the Great Lakes region, a terrifying tornado outbreak tearing through the Mississippi Valley, and over a quarter-million people across seven states plunged into darkness. With at least one fatality confirmed and a Level 4 severe risk looming today from the Carolinas to Maryland, it's clear this isn't just a bad weather day; it's a historic event. Our thoughts are definitely with everyone impacted by this devastating storm.
