Your YouTube TV just changed, and New York is not having it.

Your YouTube TV plan just changed. It's a whole thing here.

So look, everyone’s talking about these YouTube TV changes, right? Dropping cheaper plans, trying to make everyone pay more for flexible streaming tiers. Nationally, it's a big deal for folks trying to cut the cord and save a few bucks. But here in New York City? Deadass, you think we got time to sift through new streaming packages? Nah. We're already figuring out how to afford rent in Ridgewood or if that Q train is gonna be express today, or if our chopped cheese from the bodega is gonna have enough hot sauce.

Here's the thing about New York and our entertainment: we want it simple, we want it reliable, and we want it to not nickel-and-dime us to death. We're already fighting for space on the L train, trying to find a decent slice of pizza that ain't $5, and praying our delivery guy from Flushing doesn't get lost. The idea of YouTube TV making us jump through hoops for our TV? That’s just another headache on top of all the other headaches. We're too busy watching the Mets break our hearts (again) or trying to manifest a Knicks championship. We got bigger fish to fry, literally, down at the Fulton Fish Market. That's New York — if you can't keep up, take the bus.

@rach_k_queens, MiTL Sports Desk, out.
