Your Tim Hortons order is about to get a glow-up

Morning from the Valley — here's what's growing in Winkler-Morden. You know, we talk a lot about the growth in Winkler and Morden, about how our manufacturers like Decor Cabinets and Triple E are always looking for good people. We've mastered bringing in newcomers and helping them build a life here. But even I was surprised to see that Tim Hortons, of all places, is taking a page right out of our playbook. They're launching a national campaign to hire 10,000 new team members, and a big part of that is focusing on local hiring and community integration.

This really caught my eye because, let's be honest, everyone in the Pembina Valley has their Tim Hortons routine, whether it’s grabbing a coffee on Highway 3 before heading to work at Friesen Corporation or stopping in Morden after dropping the kids at Winkler Bible Camp. We’ve got a tight-knit workforce here, and seeing a national chain commit to finding and integrating local talent, much like our own businesses do, is a real testament to how well our community approach works. It’s not just about filling jobs; it's about building teams that reflect the community, which is something we excel at in the Valley.

### Why This Matters for Us

* **Local Jobs:** This isn't just a Winnipeg story; it means more opportunities right here in Winkler and Morden for our young people, for newcomers settling in, and for anyone looking for consistent work.

* **Community Integration:** When a national brand puts a focus on local hiring, it often translates into better support for new employees and a more integrated workforce, something we champion every day.

* **A Model for Others:** Frankly, it’s a quiet nod to the success stories we’ve built in the Valley. Our approach to growth, manufacturing, and bringing people into the community *works*. It's a national model, whether they realize they're following it or not.

Think about it: when you roll up to the drive-thru, you’ll be seeing more familiar faces, more people who live and breathe the same Pembina Valley life you do. This isn't just about coffee and donuts; it's about strengthening our local economy and showing that even the biggest brands recognize the value of a strong, local team.
