Boston Bruins Game Recap: WPG 1, BOS 6

Your Bruins are cookin' after that shellacking

Alright, so you woke up, grabbed a coffee from your regular spot, maybe saw the score on your phone and thought, "Did I miss somethin'?" Yeah, kid, you did. The Boston Bruins absolutely rolled over the Winnipeg Jets last night, a wicked 6-1 win right here at the Gahden. David Pastrnak got us on the board in the first, just like he does. But it wasn't just him. Lukas Reichel got one in the second, then Viktor Arvidsson, off a nice feed from Charlie Mittelstadt and Pavel Zacha, put us up three. Zacha then buried one early in the third, again from Mittelstadt and Arvidsson. Winnipeg got a power play goal, sure, but then Frank Minten, with a helper from Pastrnak, put it out of reach. And then, just for good measure, Jayson Aspirot potted one late. The whole team was buzzin', especially in that second and third period.

What does it all mean? Well, for starters, it means we got a win streak goin' again, which is good for the head, especially after some of those overtime losses lately. We're still sitting fourth in the Atlantic, but that Wildcard #1 spot is ours, and these points are gold, kid. Every single one of 'em. We gotta keep this momentum goin', especially with how tight things are in the standings. You can't be leaving points on the table, not this time of year. This win was a statement, a real "we're still here" kinda punch to the gut for anyone lookin' at us sideways.

The mood in Boston this morning? Wicked pissa, if you ask me. People are walkin' around with a little extra spring in their step, like they just found a twenty dollar bill on the sidewalk outside Faneuil Hall. This is the kind of game that gets you thinkin' about what this team can really do when they're firing on all cylinders. It's not just about the goals, it's about the effort, the way they played together. That’s what we need.

From the Gahden — Buh-ins hockey. This is Hanny.
