Wicked smart Hahvahd found the secret to livin' long
Look— Hahvahd’s tellin’ us to mix up ouah workouts, right? Like, don't just run the same damn route 'round the Resevah ev'ry day. Switch it up. Go for a bike ride on the Esplanade, hit the pahk for some hoops, maybe even try somethin' wild like, I dunno, actually usin' one of those Bluebikes without gettin' clipped by a cab. They tracked a hundred thousand people for thirty yeahs to tell us what ouah grandmothahs figured out just by livin' their lives in Southie: if ya don't move it, ya lose it, and if ya only move it one way, ya still gonna feel like a rusty T cah when ya hit fifty. Wicked simple, wicked true.
Here's the thing, though: Boston's already built for this. We got the Bahy State Trail, the Fens, Castle Island for a long walk and a clam roll if you're feelin' fahncy. We walk to Dunkin', we walk to the packie, we walk 'cause the Green Line's stuck again somewhere neah Kenmoah and ya gotta get to the gahme. We don't need Hahvahd tellin' us to move ouah ahses; we've been doin' it since before the Big Dig was even a glint in some politican's eye. But maybe, just maybe, it's a good reminder to try somethin' new. Get off the Red Line a stop early, take the stairs at the office instead of the elevator. Don't be a jabroni, get out there.
Wicked early, wicked real — that's how we do it from Dot to the Harbor.
