That Google building downtown? It's got lead paint!
Okay so, nah nah nah, let me explain. You know the old Thompson Center? That crazy, wild building right there in the Loop, like, the one that looks like a spaceship landed? The one that’s getting all done up to be Google’s new headquarters? Yeah, *that* one. They just found lead paint inside the atrium! OSHA is all over it, like, what the heck, Google? You're moving into the heart of downtown, right by all the fancy shops on Michigan Avenue, and you didn't check for lead paint? Come on, man.
It’s just so Chicago, you know? Like, we got these beautiful old buildings, some of the best architecture in the world, and then you try to make them all new and shiny, and *boom*! Here’s a little toxic surprise for ya. It reminds me of when they're always digging up the streets on the South Side for some 'infrastructure improvement' and find something crazy from like, the 1800s. You think they'd have checked for this already, especially for a company like Google. It’s always something, always. Pero, at least they caught it now, right? Before everyone's breathing in old Chicago paint dust.
