Your Florida Panthers just went OFF in Edmonton, bro!
Last night, your Florida Panthers showed the Edmonton Oilers what South Florida hockey is all about, shutting them out 4-0 in their own building! This was pure, vintage Panthers hockey, the kind we know and love, from the first period to the last, and let me tell you, after those last few games, that’s exactly what we needed to see. Casey Reinhardt got us started early, then Anthony Greer with the sneaky goal right before the first intermission, making it 2-0 and giving us that breathing room. Then Anton Lundell on the power play in the second, and finally, Cardiac Kid Carter Verhaeghe sealing it in the third. And Spencer Knight? *Chef's kiss*. He stood on his head, making 21 saves for the shutout. This isn’t just a win, mi gente, this is a statement!
This win, it means everything for the Florida Panthers right now. We snapped that losing streak, we proved we can still take it to the best of them, and we did it on the road, where the energy is against you. We’re sitting at 34-31-3, still battling for that last Wild Card spot, but that W on the road, that’s how you build momentum, that’s how you show everyone in the league that the Panthers are not going to roll over, no matter what. The mood in Sunrise, from the 595 all the way to the Sawgrass, is buzzing this morning, dale! We needed this, and the boys delivered.
Dale, Panthers — from South Florida, this is V-Del.
