You won't believe what they found in Roman graves
So here's the deal— archaeologists in Rome, over in that Ostiense necropolis, they just found three skeletons from way back, like 1,800 years ago. And get this: each one had iron nails on their chest. Yeah, like, *on* their chest, which is wild. The experts are saying it was probably some kind of ritual to keep those spirits from getting restless. Can you even imagine? Like, 'ope, better nail this guy down so he doesn't come back and bother us.'
It kinda makes you think, doesn't it? We got some pretty old burial grounds around here, like down by Bay Beach. But I tell ya what, you won't find any iron nails on folks. We're more about a nice, peaceful rest up here. Maybe a Kringle in the casket, if they were really a good one. But this whole "restless spirit" thing? You betcha, that's a whole different level of superstition. We're too busy worrying about whether the Packers are gonna make it to the playoffs to be nailing down our dead.
