To even consider putting a measure like this into place, it just feels like it goes against the very grain of what Nashville is supposed to be. It's not just about what this bill *does*, it's about the message it sends to families who are already navigating so much to try and make a life here. It's about whether we're going to extend that Southern hospitality or if we're going to pull up the drawbridge. And that, my friends, is a question that needs a real good, long think.
