According to the latest 311 service request data, folks are calling in about street conditions, potholes, and—get this—**HEAT AND HOT WATER**. We're talking 4,540 requests for entire buildings and another 2,211 for individual apartments. That's almost 7,000 calls just about getting warm, while our development activity section is just a bunch of "N/A"s. Deadass.
It tells you everything you need to know about where the city's priorities are, or at least where they *should* be. You got lobbyists like Cojo Strategies and Tetragon Partners out here for big corporations, and meanwhile, half the city's trying to get a decent shower. It’s the same story every winter, right? The city keeps moving, but some landlords ain't. Keep an eye on those heat complaints as the temps drop; that number only gonna climb.
