Your landlord still owes you heat and hot water.

Your city needs more hot water than new buildings.

So look, you wanna know what's really on New Yorkers' minds? It ain't new development, that's for damn sure. According to the latest 311 service request data, folks are calling in about street conditions, potholes, and—get this—**HEAT AND HOT WATER**. We're talking 4,540 requests for entire buildings and another 2,211 for individual apartments. That's almost 7,000 calls just about getting warm, while our development activity section is just a bunch of "N/A"s. Deadass.

It tells you everything you need to know about where the city's priorities are, or at least where they *should* be. You got lobbyists like Cojo Strategies and Tetragon Partners out here for big corporations, and meanwhile, half the city's trying to get a decent shower. It’s the same story every winter, right? The city keeps moving, but some landlords ain't. Keep an eye on those heat complaints as the temps drop; that number only gonna climb.

That's New York — if you can't keep up, take the bus.
