Your CRA drop box is closing, b'y. What's da deal?
Whaddya at, b'y — this is St. John's, oldest city in North America, and we're still here. Let's go. So, dis Revenue Canada news about da CRA closing all dem drop boxes after da tax season? I'll tell ya one thing, b'y, it's just one more ting makin' life a little bit harder for folks here in St. John's. We got enough goin' on wit' da cost of livin', and now dey're pullin' da rug out from under some of da folks who rely on dat. Not everyone's got da internet or even knows how to use it for online filin', especially some of our seniors down 'round da Battery or out in da Goulds. Dere's a comfort in knowin' you can just drop off your papers, ya know?
Dis is what I'm talkin' about when I say some of these national changes just don't hit da same way in St. John's. It's like dey forget dere's a whole province out here, sometimes, especially when you're talkin' about folks livin' paycheck to paycheck or da ones sendin' money back home from up in Fort Mac. Dey're worried about puttin' food on da table, not navigatin' some new digital system from Revenue Canada. It just feels like another barrier, b'y, another little chip at da way we've always done tings 'round here.
