Stop overthinking Gen Z, you're missing the point.

Alright, so I’m looking at the trending list, and "Gen Z years" is popping up. It's usually part of some big breakdown of who's doing what, who's buying what, or who's messing up what. And honestly, it gets a little overcomplicated sometimes, doesn't it?

I mean, growing up in Portland, nobody was sitting around dissecting "Gen X" or "Boomer" like it was some grand scientific study. You were just… people. And yeah, there were differences, sure. The music changed, the clothes changed, the way you talked to your friends changed. But at the end of the day, everyone was still trying to figure out where they fit in, how to pay the bills, and maybe, just maybe, how to have a decent time on a Saturday night.

So when I see all this talk about "Gen Z," I just think, "Let's not overcomplicate it." They're people. They're figuring things out. Just like every generation before them. My dad always said, "If you want to know what someone's about, watch what they *do*, not what everyone *says* they're doing." Simple is usually better. Find one small thing you can connect on, and just keep it moving from there. That's me.
